Our Story…

Your hosts are Emma and Emmett from Melbourne, Australia. In 2025 Emmett visited the West Coast for work and fell in love with the area - it’s nature, people and pace of life.

Having travelled extensively through New Zealand, Emmett felt a desire to attract more people to the West Coast and Aurum Retreat was born.

Emma has a busy florist business in Melbourne called Herbivore Florals and has brought with her a flair for design and appreciation for a luxurious, premium feel.

Emmett is a Geologist and works at various places all over Australia.

We both hope you enjoy your stay with us and take a little ‘peace’ of Reefton and the West Coast back home with you.
